Simple Finance

Simple Finance is a simple program to track your expenses.

Features

• Track money transfer from one bank account to another.
• Track where your expenses are going to.
• Able to export the transaction list to view on your desktop using Microsoft Office or OpenOffice.org.

Limitations

Currently there are some features that are not available.

• Recurring transaction.
• Charts or graphs.
• Reports or budget outline.

Requirements

• Windows Mobile 6 Classic or Professional device
• Microsoft .Net Compact Framework 3.5

Run the "Simple Finance.cab" on the device.

Uninstall

1. "Start" -> "Settings".
2. "System" tab.
3. Find and click "Remove Programs".
4. Find and click "Gar's Simple Finance".
5. "Remove".

Simple Finance's data is stored at "\Application Data\Simple Finance", removing the "Simple Finance" folder will complete the removal of the program.

Update

To update from a previous version, just run the "Simple Finance.cab" on the device.

Why are amounts being shown in brackets, e.g. ($100)?

Amounts in brackets are negative values. This currency format is dictated by Windows Mobile's settings. You can change it by going to:

1. "Start" -> "Settings".
2. "System" tab.
3. Find and click on "Regional Settings".
4. "Currency" tab.
5. And change it at "Negative number format".

Is there a desktop version?

No.

Bug Fixes:

• Using one of the "To" or "From" account combo box, in the new transaction form, to edit accounts, will result in stale data on the other account combo box when the editing is done.
